Crafted with coarse horsehair, this brush is designed for bold, expressive mark-making and textured applications. The thick bristles taper to a soft edge, offering excellent control for broad strokes, dry brush effects, and nuanced transitions. At about 3.25" long, the bristles will have a strong flex and hold up well under pressure, making it an ideal tool for artists working with high-viscosity media.

The bamboo handle will be engraved and fire-cured to bring out its natural character while offering a comfortable grip. A hand-formed copper ferrule completes the construction, adding durability and balance.

I craft each brush myself using high-quality materials chosen for their performance and tactile response. This brush works well with acrylics, cold wax, oil paint, heavy body paints, ink, and other water-based media—not recommended for encaustic.
