Deer Tail Sumi-e Paintbrush with Beautiful Natural Tipped Ends WDT #210

This unique and beautiful brush was made with a white deer tail bristle, which has wonderful natural tipped ends and a traditional Sumi-e bristle head shape. The ferrule is wooden and has a copper wrap. The handle is made from a unique piece of driftwood from Flathead Lake. It is a delicate brush, it is light and the handle is 6" in length.

Whitetail deer bristle is super soft, has uncut tips, the bristle is silky, smooth, and soft. The bristle head has a traditional Asian brush shape that comes to a fine point. 

The bristle is really thick and full as well.

The brush has:

• A leather hanging strap
• The ferrule is wood and has a copper wrap

Bristlehead:

• The deer bristle is 4" in length 
• The handle is 6” in length

My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand, and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
