Flat Head Paintbrush - Coarse Grey Horsehair

This brush is made with 3 separate pieces of bamboo to create the ferrule and handle. I constructed the brush ferrule so that it creates a more flat square area to hold the bristle. The bamboo has a burnt-in striped pattern, copper detail, and a leather hanging strap.

This paintbrush has a 1.75" long and 1.25" wide flat square bristle head. The bristle is made with very coarse grey horsehair. This type of bristle has a strong spring, is wiry, and will make a wide array of marks.
