This is listing is for a handcrafted parrot feather Sumi-e paintbrush which was made with soft, flexible parrot feathers that are 5.5" in length. These types of feathers can make very energetic and dynamic marks, they are wonderful to work with. The feathers have very good spring and shape recall. They are a bit stiff and work especially well with brushstrokes that twist and rotate. If you are looking for a brush that will create unexpected marks, then this brush is a good choice.

The bamboo handle is 10" long and has a leather hanging strap.
Feather brushes are also very durable and clean up well. The smaller brush that I use in this video is 8 years old.
