This listing is for a handcrafted parrot feather Sumi-e paintbrush which was made with soft, flexible parrot feathers that are 3.5" in length. These types of feathers can make very fluids and delicate marks, they are wonderful to work with. The feathers also have very good spring and shape recall. Feather brushes make beautiful, controlled but still random marks. One of my favorite types of brushes 😍

The bamboo handle is 7.5" long, has a leather hanging strap, and has a burned-in pattern.

Inspiring brush!

This particular parrot feather brush has shorter feathers and dances across the paper, making lovely unexpected marks. I find all the colors in the feathers so beautiful and inspiring. The bamboo handle has her signature 'burn marks', as well as a row of little artful red dots down the side and end of the handle. Lovely! I followed Elizabeth's Youtube instructions on 'how to clean feather brushes' and the feathers cleaned up perfectly. And, when shipped to me, it came very carefully and well wrapped, and the feathers came through in perfect condition! This is so fun to use!
