. The handle also has a leather hanging strap and has been embellished with a natural sea shell. The bristles are my best quality grey horsehair, which is soft, absorbent and flexible. Most of the tips are natural and uncut (when uncut the tips are pointed and soft).

Each brush I make is different and unique. I try to bring out the voices of the materials I use, connecting them with each other in a way that makes them feel complete.

My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
