This brush was made with black bamboo and my premium quality grey horsehair. The bamboo handle has a leather hanging strap and has the image of a dragon carved onto the handle. Have great flex, are soft and many of the tips a natural/uncut.
The brush handle has a carving of a dragon wrapping around the handle. It is hard to photograph and really shows much better in person.
Each brush I make is different and unique. I try to bring out the voices of the materials I use, connecting them with each other in a way that makes them feel complete.
My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand, and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
The 13.5-inch handle is really comfortable to hold
