Handmade Horsehair Sumi-e Paint Brush with Restored Antique Copper/Brass Handle

This brush is handmade by Elizabeth, with a restored/repurposed antique copper plated (copper plate over solid brass) barbershop neck brush and a high-quality black horsehair bristle head. The horsehair bristle is thick, flexible and makes interesting marks. This brush is made to work with ink or other media that is water based, it has a bamboo ferrule - the total length of the brush with the ferrule included is 5.25".

• The bristle head is 4" in length.
• The handle is 5.25" in length, including the bamboo ferrule

The brush also includes a leather hanging strap. This strap is used to hang the brush head facing down when drying.

The original handle is more than 100 years old.
