This brush was made by Elizabeth. The brush handle is bamboo and the bristles are mixed horsehair they have great spring, are somewhat course and very flexible. The bristle head has been shaped into a blunt slant, which allows for a wide splay.

This brush bristles are 3" in length and the handle is 13" long. The brush has a ceramic ferrule and has been embellished with natural stone.

This brush will make a wide variety of marks, including big bold marks, and fine lines.

Its different, and better, than black encaustic paint

The mixture of this paint creates a "grippy" feel. You can create defined lines and shapes without pooling or separating that sometimes occurs with commercial encaustic paints. The cube shape allows you to make different types of marks directly with the cube which is a great way to start drawing.

There are no substitutes

I used a variety of tools to make marks, silicone kitchen utensils, silicon art shapers, etc and nothing compares to the tools offered by Elizabeth. The are easy to handle and allow you to execute finite movement, they create defined lines and clear patterns. I purchased the smaller size because I am working on an 8x10 aluminum plate and its perfect.

Another beautiful bowl!

Using my ink bowls, made by Kim and decorated by Elizabeth, bring me pleasure every time I take them out. My newest bowl is a delight to look at with little orange fish darting round and it nestles in my hand as it it were custom made.
This pottery, along with Elizabeth's wonderful brushes, are gifts to myself. I delight in them!

Fun and expressive tool!

I love the versatility of this wide silicone brush/tool. Using fluid acrylic paint, with a light touch, I was able to get interesting results for the body of the chicken, and then made the nest with a skunk brush. Such fun!
