Handmade Sumi-e Paint Brush with Grey Horsehair and a Ceramic Ferrule

This brush was made by Elizabeth. The bristles I used in this brush are a very high quality grey horsehair, they are soft, have good absorbency, are flexible and the head is very full. 

This is also a large brush, the bristles are 3.25" in length and the handle is 12.5" long. The brush has a natural stone embellishment on the end and a leather hanging strap.

The handle has an image of bamboo carved into it.

This brush can hold a lot of media and can make very large and dynamic marks.
