This brush was made with bamboo and my premium black horsehair. The bamboo handle has been highly polished and is soft & smooth. The bristles are super-premium horsehair, that is soft, flexible, absorbent and has terrific splay. The brush has a copper ferrule and loop.
Each brush I make is different and unique. I try to bring out the voices of the materials I use, connecting them with each other in a way that makes them feel complete.
My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
The handle is 8" in length
