This listing is for a Sumi-e brush that is designed for very dramatic and bold mark-making. The brush has a huge bristle head (8" in length) and a 20" long handle. The bamboo handle has a burned-in striped pattern and a leather hanging strap.
The ferrule is porcelain can have a sgraffito bamboo leaf painting and green celadon glaze.
The porcelain ferrule is 5" in height.
The bristle head is 8" in length, and is made with semi-coarse mixed horsehair. It is naturally tapered and has a nice amount of softness while maintaining its spring.

This brush is ideal for artists that are interested in working on a large scale. The handle length will accommodate working in s standing position or on a large hanging canvas.
