This listing is for a skunk tail Sumi-e paintbrush. This brush has a super thick, full, long bristle head, and comes to a natural pointed tip. The head shape is natural, all of the bristle tips are uncut and pointed. The brush bristle head has several very long white hairs that are 5.5" in length.

The brush will hold a lot of media, and the bristle is super soft and flexible.

The handle is bamboo and has a natural knobby handle and a leather hanging strap.

Brush Specifications:

The handle is a total of 10.5" in length, including the wooden embellishment

Its different, and better, than black encaustic paint

The mixture of this paint creates a "grippy" feel. You can create defined lines and shapes without pooling or separating that sometimes occurs with commercial encaustic paints. The cube shape allows you to make different types of marks directly with the cube which is a great way to start drawing.

There are no substitutes

I used a variety of tools to make marks, silicone kitchen utensils, silicon art shapers, etc and nothing compares to the tools offered by Elizabeth. The are easy to handle and allow you to execute finite movement, they create defined lines and clear patterns. I purchased the smaller size because I am working on an 8x10 aluminum plate and its perfect.

Another beautiful bowl!

Using my ink bowls, made by Kim and decorated by Elizabeth, bring me pleasure every time I take them out. My newest bowl is a delight to look at with little orange fish darting round and it nestles in my hand as it it were custom made.
This pottery, along with Elizabeth's wonderful brushes, are gifts to myself. I delight in them!

Fun and expressive tool!

I love the versatility of this wide silicone brush/tool. Using fluid acrylic paint, with a light touch, I was able to get interesting results for the body of the chicken, and then made the nest with a skunk brush. Such fun!
