Sumi-e Paint Brush With Grey Horsehair Bamboo Handle

This brush is made with TX bamboo and grey horsehair. The bamboo handle has a design carved on it and the end of the brush has a sterling silver cap. The grey horsehair is a bit stiff, has great flex, strong spring and will make a wide variety of marks, from wide/dynamic to very fine.

The brush has:

• A leather hanging strap
• The handle has a design carved into it
• The end of the handle has an antique sterling silver cap

Traditional Sumi-e style bristle head:

• The Gray Horsehair is 3" in length
• The Handle is 15" in length

My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
