This brush was made with black bamboo and my high-quality grey horsehair. The bamboo handle has a leather hanging strap. The bristle has great flex, has some coarseness and is very thick. This brush is a beast, it will make a wide variety of marks, including very large, expressive marks.

The brush handle is black bamboo and has some heft to it.

Each brush I make is different and unique. I try to bring out the voices of the materials I use, connecting them with each other in a way that makes them feel complete.

My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".

The 18" handle is big enough for this brush and is really comfortable to hold

7" grey horsehair bristles.
