Grey Coarse Horsehair Brush With Vintage Handle

Regular price $139.00 $0.00 Unit price per

This listing is for a grey horsehair paintbrush with a repurposed vintage hardwood handle. The brush has a new grey coarse horsehair bristle, which is 4" in length. I also added a leather hanging strap. The handle has been completely refurbished, polished, and cleaned.

The bristle head on these brushes is super thick, dense, and coarse. It will make a wide range of marks, from big and bold, to fine lines

  • It has a flat bristle head that is 4" in length.
  • The handle is 5.5" in length.

This brush is a workhorse. It can stand up to many different types of media, from thin to thick. If you are looking for a brush to work with cold wax, this one is also a good choice because the bristle is coarse and stiff, so it will move the CW (or other thicker media) on the panel and can create a nice surface texture.

The handle was made in the USA, around 1950.
