White Deer Tail Sumi-e Paintbrush with Beautiful Natural Tipped Ends WDT #213

This unique and beautiful brush was made with a white deer tail bristle, which has wonderful natural tipped ends and a traditional Sumi-e bristle head shape. The ferrule is ceramic. The handle is made from a piece of driftwood from Flathead Lake MT. It is a delicate brush the handle is10" in length.

Whitetail deer bristle is super soft, has uncut tips, the bristle is silky, smooth, and soft. The bristle head has a traditional Asian brush shape that comes to a fine point. 

The brush has:

• A leather hanging strap
• The ferrule is ceramic

Bristlehead:

• The deer bristle is 4.5" in length 
• The handle is 10” in length

My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand, and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
