Black Horsehair Sumi-e Paint Brush with Ceramic Beetle Ferrule #102

This unique and beautiful brush was made with black bamboo, a handpainted ceramic ferrule, and premium quality black horsehair. The handle is super satiny, and smooth. The horsehair is super soft, has great flex, strong spring, natural uncut tips, and will make a wide variety of marks. The brush bristle has a traditional Sumi-e style tapered shape. The brush bristle will hold a TON of media and can make very bold and dynamic marks. The ferrule has a whimsical image that was handpainted by Elizabeth. This is a larger brush, the handle is proportionate to the brush head.

 The brush has:

• A leather hanging strap 
• The handle is 11" in length, including the ferrule
• The ferrule is ceramic

Bristlehead:

• Is 3.75" in length and made with premium quality, natural tipped
• The brush head has a traditional tapered shape

My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand, and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
