Flex Silicone Blade

This silicone tool is built to work with encaustic medium on a HOTBox™ or some other hot palette. It also works great with Alcohol Ink, acrylic, oil paint, and more! Its blades are flexible, which gives you an element of random control in your art. The print pictured here was made with this blade.

This tool was handmade by Elizabeth. Since these tools are handmade, each has its unique mark, so it will always be specific to the artist. 

This tool is designed to pull paint from the plate, leaving “random” flowing lines, shapes, and or marks. It moves smoothly across the plate, allowing the artist to move the blade without bending or disruption.
