Med. Size Sumi-e Brushes with Bamboo Handles

These medium-sized goat and horsehair brushes are made to order. Each brush head is shaped and cut by hand. I take great care to ensure my paintbrushes will meet or exceed my customer's expectations.

I use a very high-quality goat/horsehair when making these brushes - The goat hair is very soft and absorbent. The horsehair is stiffer and less absorbent than the goat but has a bit more spring and flex.

*Goat hair or 羊毛, youmou is flexible, durable, yet super soft and very absorbent.  Soft brushes are a bit more challenging to master, but if used skillfully deliver very interesting, and to an extent, unpredictable lines.

• The bamboo handles will have leather hanging straps, will be cured/conditioned with beeswax paste

• Brush Handle Length: (8" - 10")

You may choose from several different bristle head shapes:

1. Round - (nice splay, thicker lines)
2. Blunt - (widest splay, very wide lines, great texture)
3. Pointed- (fine line work, pointed tip)
