In this "one on one" customized workshop, you will learn how to work with carbon encaustic paint on a hot palette or HOTbox. This session will cover more in-depth applications for carbon paint, including working with colored encaustic paint, some silicone tools, and a quick application of India ink.
In this 1/2 hour session I will cover the following:
- What kind of media/surface material to use
- How to properly load the printing surface with the medium
- Basic mark-making techniques
- A quick application of ink to the printed surface
- The interaction of carbon and colored encaustic paints
Prior to each session, I will ask the artist to complete a quick questionnaire that will help me align the session to meet their artistic goals.

Great workshop. Elizabeth has a great handle on tools. She is clear when teaching and a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend her workshops as well as her brushes and silicone tools.
