White Horsehair Sumi-e Paint Brush with Ceramic Ferrule

This unique and beautiful brush was made with a piece of Flathead Lake driftwood and premium white horsehair. The driftwood handle has a natural dotted pattern with soft grey and purple colors. The brush has a ceramic ferrule that has a soft blue glaze with a dotted pattern which mimics the pattern on the driftwood handle. The premium white horsehair is super soft, has natural tipped ends, great flex, strong spring, and will make a wide variety of marks. The horsehair a traditional Asian brush shape. The brush bristle will hold a lot of media and can make very bold and dynamic marks.

The brush has:

• A leather hanging strap 
• The ferrule is ceramic

Bristlehead:

• The premium white horsehair is 4.5" in length 
• The handle is 11" in length

My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand, and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
