Black Horsehair Sumi-e Paint Brush With Bamboo Handle

This brush was made with premium-quality black horsehair and has a bamboo handle. The brush has a porcelain ferrule with a light blue-green crackle glaze. 

The premium-quality horsehair is semi-coarse, it has great flex, a strong spring, and will make a wide variety of marks. The brush has a slant-cut bristle head.

The brush has:

• A leather hanging strap
• The ferrule is porcelain

Traditional Rounded Slant Bristle Head:

• The black horsehair is 2.5" in length
• The Handle is 10" in length

My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
