Grey Horsehair Sumi-e Paint Brush with Ceramic Ferrule BHS #102

This unique and beautiful brush has a bamboo handle, ceramic ferrule, and my premium grey horsehair. The handle is super satiny, smooth, and has a beautiful burned-in organic pattern. The ceramic ferrule has a lined pattern and soft green glaze.

The horsehair is very soft but still has great flex, and strong spring, and can make a wide variety of marks. The brush bristle has a traditional Sumi-e style tapered shape, and it is long, 6" in length.

The brush bristle will hold a TON of media and can make very bold and dynamic marks. The tips are uncut, natural tips.

This is a larger brush, the handle is proportionate to the brush head.

The brush has:

• A leather hanging strap 
• The handle is 12" in length, including the ferrule
• The ferrule is ceramic

Bristlehead:

• Is 6" in length 
• The brush head has a traditional tapered shape

My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand, and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
