I had a one on one with Elizabeth. I'm a beginner and she covered many aspects of encaustic with carbon in the hour. Her set up is really great and my call from Australia went without a hitch. Elizabeth answered all my questions thoughtfully and I'm keen to use the carbon and tools that she sent me. I look forward to working with Elizabeth again and learning more about this amazing medium.
I recently received a set of your carving tools and I can’t wait to try them out. Shipping was prompt and everything perfectly packed. Your customer service and additional note were appreciated.
I especially like the wooden handles with the rounded tops…..they feel great in the hand with no straight edges to irritate my hands. Thank you!
I love everything about this bowl. First, it’s made impeccably well, with lovely detailing on the underside, and it sits flush, with a lovely weight and nice rim. Then, the painting! So much movement and life to the schooling fish. Masterful brushstrokes, really. I’m beyond pleased.
I use this beautiful tool to score paper when I am making books - it is a delight to hold and use (and look at!) In addition, I love dipping the ball into acrylic paint and making dot marks. Yet another gorgeous tool from Elizabeth
Enjoying my new multi-tool. I find it lightweight and well made. I can create a fluid continuous mark with ease on my plexi glass plate for monoprinting. Looking forward to continuous experimentation.
I bought the smallest size blade as I am using it on my gelli plates. Wise decision! The blade is so easy to hold and it makes lovely marks. Plus, it looks so beautiful. Elizabeth puts as much care into constructing these blades as she does her brushes. I am a beginning artist, although well-on in years, and I fully appreciate the value of using these exquisite tools. Tiny but mighty in so many ways! Thank you.
I am using my silicone blade on a gel plate. Although one of the smaller sizes, it works perfectly on either the 5" plate or my larger 12" one. The teeth are carefully cut and make clean, beautiful lines. The grip is not only easy to hold, but it is also gorgeous to look at.
I have purchased several brushes as a gift for my resident artist. They are always appreciated and well received.
Although I am not the artist, I do find beauty in the unique driftwood handles.
I am using my blade on my gelli plate. It is a joy to hold and use. Clearly a great deal of love and care went into its making. Thank you Elizabeth for yet another precious tool
Thank you so much! I love my beautiful carving tool. It came well packaged and arrived in perfect condition.
The beautifully crafted handle is easy to hold and lovely to look at.
Wonderful attention to detail in every way. I look forward to purchasing more of your hand crafted tools and brushes
