"Mountain Pulse" is a 14X18" encaustic monotype that seeks to capture the interplay of structure and spontaneity found in nature. With stark contrasts between white spaces and textured black lines, accented by subtle metallic hints, this piece is reminiscent of undulating terrains and rhythmic patterns in nature. Each sweep of the silicone blade used in creating this print was carefully executed, echoing both the discipline of man-made structures and the randomness of natural formations. This artwork is a reflection of my continuous journey to understand and express the harmonious dichotomy of the world around us.
