Handmade Professional Brush for Water-Based Media, Ink, and Mixed Media
This handcrafted brush features a beautifully burned and engraved bamboo handle paired with natural boar bristles that have a firm, responsive feel. The bristle head has strong spring and good flex, making it ideal for expressive mark-making, gestural strokes, and techniques that require both pressure and release.

I designed this brush primarily for water-based media, including ink, watercolor, and gouache, but it can also be used with oils if it is cleaned thoroughly after each use.
Features:
- Premium natural boar bristle with a stiffer feel, strong spring, and good resilience
- Fire-cured, engraved bamboo handle with a unique, tactile surface
- Versatile brush head capable of bold, dynamic strokes and fine tapering marks
- Excellent for water-based media such as ink, watercolor, gouache, and fluid acrylics
- It can be used with oils when cleaned immediately and properly
- Leather hanging strap for easy storage and drying

Specifications:
- Overall length: approximately 13 in
- Bristle length: approximately 3 in
- Handle material: fire-cured, engraved bamboo, 10 inches
- Bristle type: natural boar hair
- Strap: natural leather
I created this brush for artists who want energy, structure, and control in their mark-making. The boar bristle snaps back quickly, allowing for expressive strokes that still hold a crisp edge. It is an excellent choice for contemporary Sumi-e, ink drawing, and mixed-media painting where gesture and texture are important.
Care Instructions:
- Rinse thoroughly after each use
- Clean with a mild soap
- For oil media, clean immediately with an appropriate brush cleaner
- Do not leave the bristles soaking in water
- Hang to dry by the leather strap to maintain the shape of the bristle head
