Premium Mixed Horsehair Sumi-e Paint Brush With Ceramic Ferrule PS4

This is a gorgeous, large brush that was made with ribbed bamboo and my premium mixed horsehair. The brush has a porcelain ferrule, that has a sgraffito dragon image wrapped around it. The dragon image is completely original art and was created by me. The mixed horsehair is super soft, has natural tips,  great flex, very strong spring, and will make a wide variety of marks, from wide/dynamic to very fine. 

The handle is bamboo and has a burned-in organic burned-in pattern leather hanging strap with a handmade bead. 

The brush bristle is thick and a full 6" in length and has a fabulously wide and full splay. The bristle head has a natural tapered shape as well.

The brush has:

• A leather hanging strap with handmade bead
• The ferrule is porcelain with a sgraffito dragon image

Traditional Sumi-e style bristle head:

• The mixed  horsehair is 5" 
• The bamboo handle is 24" in length

My brushes are made to create a vast array of marks. When I make a brush I think about all aspects of the tool: how it looks, how it feels in the hand, and how it paints - to ensure that the end product is a true "fine art tool".
