Vertical Study: Intervals — Encaustic Monotype Scroll with Hand-Applied Ink
Description:
Vertical Study: Intervals is an original encaustic monotype scroll composed of layered circular forms arranged along an extended vertical field. The composition emphasizes spacing, repetition, and pause — allowing each form to exist both independently and in relationship to the whole.

Created using encaustic monotype techniques and finished with hand-applied ink, this work explores rhythm and variation through subtle shifts in color, scale, and line. The alternating intervals create a sense of movement and rest, encouraging slow, deliberate viewing from top to bottom.
This scroll works especially well in tall or narrow wall spaces and functions as a contemplative focal point within a minimalist or modern interior.
